  H2H League 4

Match Rules

The registration fee for the H2H is $5 per player. All of that $5 will go towards the prize pool. The registration fee can be paid by Bugsy transfer to PVPosse or other sites by prior arrangement.

Each match may be played at the Private PVP H2H tables at Bugsy or Full Tilt and will cost $2.75. Players may play their matches at other sites if agreeable to both parties. How much the total H2H League will cost depends on how far you advance and how many games you win or lose. Any winnings you make along the way are yours.

The prize pool payouts will be determined at close of registration and are dependent on the number of entrants.

When the names are drawn, and match ups posted, players will be responsible for contacting each other (by Email, Phone, PM, or IM) and arranging a mutually convenient time and date for their match. We are NOT going to police or mediate this. Matches must be played within 7 days of the draw.

If one player does not turn up for the match (there will be a 30 minute grace period) they risk forfeiting the match to the other player. The match will be forfeited at the waiting players request.

Each player MUST play their own match - i.e. NO stand-ins will be allowed. Breach of this will result in disqualification. If you are unable make the match at the stated time, please notify and reschedule it ASAP with your H2H partner (we suggest exchanging phone numbers just in case you need to avail yourself of this option).

The time and date of each match must be posted in the H2H thread beforehand, with the results posted there afterwards. Results must also be sent via PM to Pebblesue so that the brackets can be updated.

The Grand Finale will be scheduled on two consecutive Sunday afternoons (two games per Sunday) to accommodate as many spectators as possible across the spectrum of time zones everywhere.

How does it work?

The H2H will be played using double elimination, so even if you lose your match up in the Winner Bracket, you get a second bite of the cherry in the Loser Bracket. This means there will be a Winner bracket and a Loser bracket running in tandem.

Each individual match up will consist of 3 H2H games, where the winner of the match up wins the best of 3 games.

The winners of the 1st round of matches move up the Winner bracket, the losers move to the Loser bracket.

For the 2nd round, both Winner and Loser brackets run in tandem. If you win your Winner bracket match, you advance up the Winner bracket for round 3. If you lose your Winner bracket match, you move into the Loser bracket. By the same token, if you win your Loser bracket match, you advance to round 3 of the Loser bracket; if you lose your Loser bracket match, you are out of the series.

Eventually we will have a winner in the Winner bracket and a winner in the Loser bracket. The two bracket winners will then play each other in a best of 4 H2H matches, to determine the overall winner. Because the winner of the winners bracket has never lost a match, he will have a one game advantage in the Grand Finale - therefore the "losers bracket winner" must win 3 out of 4 matches; the "winners bracket winner" only needs to win 2 out of 4 matches.

It is planned that the Grand Finale will be played out over twoconsecutive Sundays (two matches per Sunday). However, depending on time constraints, if both players wish to continue and play the 3rd and/or 4th games on the same day, then it will be done that way.

In addition to the cash prize the winner earns place a on the PVP Most Wanted Page, as well as a special rank and avatar denoting their "H2H Supremacy."

Trust me, it is not nearly as complicated as it sounds and it will be fun for everyone
